What groundworks services do you provide?

Groundworks, excavation, site preparation and clearance, drainage, foundations, concrete and external works, tanks and wastewater treatment systems, landscaping and lawns, and demolition. If your project needs something outside that list, just ask — we will tell you straight away whether it is work we take on.

Do you install septic tanks and wastewater treatment systems?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We install precast tanks and wastewater treatment systems, including units similar to those supplied by Corcoran Precast, along with percolation areas and pump chambers — and we handle the excavation, backfill and reinstatement around them, so it is one job with one contractor.

Where are you based and what are your opening hours?

We are based at Connaberry, Ballon, Co. Carlow, and the office is open Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Call 087 635 5738 during those hours, or send an enquiry through the contact form any time and we will come back to you.

What areas do you cover?

We work throughout Co. Carlow and the surrounding counties from our base in Ballon. If your project is further afield, ask anyway — larger projects are considered outside that area.

Do you undertake commercial projects?

Yes. We work with main contractors, developers and commercial property owners, either as a groundworks subcontractor or directly for the client, and we are used to working to a site programme.

Do you undertake residential projects?

Accepted Answer

Yes — extensions, new builds, self-build projects and private groundworks such as drainage, foundations, driveways and landscaping. Private clients get the same planning and standards as any commercial site.

How do I request a quotation?

Send the quote form on the contact page or give us a call. Include as much detail as you have and we will come straight back to you to talk it through — there is no obligation at that stage.

What information do you need before providing a quote?

Project location, the type of work, approximate size, your intended start date, and any drawings, specifications or site photographs you can share. The more you send, the more accurate the quotation.

Can you work alongside main contractors?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We are used to working to a main contractor's programme, sequencing and site rules as part of a wider construction team, and to keeping follow-on trades moving.

Do you provide site visits?

For most projects we prefer to see the site before quoting, as ground conditions and access have a real bearing on the price. Get in touch with your project details and we will arrange a time that suits.

How far in advance should projects be booked?

Availability changes with the workload we already have on, so the earlier you talk to us the easier it is to fit your programme. Contact us with your intended start date and we will tell you honestly what we can commit to.

What size projects do you undertake?

We take on both private and commercial work, from single house sites and driveways through to multi-plot developments and external works packages. If you are unsure whether your project suits us, send the details and we will tell you straight.

How can I send project drawings or specifications?

Email them across with your enquiry, or mention them in the quote form and we will reply so you can send them directly. Drawings, site photos and levels all help us price the work accurately.
